Solid sales bolster Kingspan expansion
One Irish company has been boosted by its manufacturing sales team and is set to create more than 160 jobs at one of its sites due to the impressive performance.
Kingspan Renewables will create the new roles at its Portadown site after it pledged to invest £47 million into the expansion programme, which has also secured £6.5 million from Invest Northern Ireland.
The Kingspan group's interim statement claimed that encouraging order intakes and more growth in Western Europe and the US has bolstered the firm's position.
"Looking ahead, the sense of nervousness that prevailed in all of the group's markets a year ago is less evident at present ... [this and other factors] leads the board to believe that there is scope for a degree of measured optimism through 2010," he stated.
Another company creating new roles is LV =, which recently announced that it would be recruiting around 300 more staff, some of which will be based in its sales department.
