Work-life balance needs care and attention
People looking for sales jobs need to ensure they get the right work-life balance once they have secured a role, according to an expert.
Gill Trevelyan, head of good practice services for Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service (Acas), said that it is important for workers to fully engage with their role but also to take time for other aspects of their life.
"It really is important to get your work-life balance right - in other words, being fully engaged and doing your job properly but also making sure you take time for the other aspects of your life," she stated.
The expert added that workers should try to ensure that they use their full holiday entitlement, because breaks allow them to relax and come back to work refreshed.
In other news, the development of the UK's long hours culture could be putting employees' health at risk, according to Aviva Risk Management Solutions, the new name for Norwich Union Risk Services.
