Mixed media marketing 'is perfect marriage'
The latest Labour Market Barometer from the Bank of Scotland's Report on Jobs has shown that demand for staff in the country has risen, with recruitment in both the permanent and temporary sectors rising alongside wages.
People looking for sales jobs could be bolstered by the report, which showed a reading of 54.3 - the highest since the start of 2008, the beginning of the financial downturn.
Donald MacRae, chief economist at the Bank of Scotland, said: "The April report has recorded the sharpest rise in demand for permanent staff in over two and a half years, which is further evidence of the recovery in the Scottish economy."
The economist added that appointments to permanent jobs increased for the seventh consecutive month and, for the fifth month in a row, vacancies for permanent roles rose as well.
Earlier in May, the Recruitment and Employment Confederation said the new government must recognise the importance of job creation in the current economic climate.
