Apprenticeships 'not just for youths'
People looking for sales recruitment opportunities should consider gaining skills on an apprenticeship, no matter what age they are, according to an industry expert.
Paul Davis, managing director of Perspective, a leading apprentice training firm, said that people can get ahead of the competition by learning new skills which will help them find sales recruitment employment.
While apprenticeships are normally the preserve of the young, Perspective has encouraged those over the age of 25 not to discount the option.
"Mature students most certainly have a role to play in addressing the current lack of skills in the UK economy. Those who have been left jobless by the recession should see apprenticeships as a real opportunity to get back into employment and learn additional, valuable skills," he added.
Recently, the Office for National Statistics found that a record number of people are currently undertaking apprenticeships.
