Sales jobs given a boost by new homeworker call centre

People hoping for sales recruitment success have been given a boost with a new homeworker virtual call centre service.

Inbound/outbound call centre firm SMART has chosen technology from LiveOps to help it extend its traditional bricks and mortar call centres, possibly creating more sales jobs.

The LiveOps On-Demand Contact Centre platform will help SMART to work with and manage home-based contact centre agents working flexible hours from anywhere in the country.

Simon Carter, chairman and chief executive officer at SMART, said that it was committed to being able to offer customers more choice in the ways it is able to service their business, while also allowing employees more flexibility.

"It's proven in the US with a wide range of companies and is clearly a robust solution that will support our ability to deliver the highest quality of service to our customers, regardless of the agent's location," he added.

Last week, Shop Direct announced that it will delay any job cuts in its Newtown centre after stating that its Sunderland and Burnley facilities will close.
