Development of skills 'key to future of sales jobs'
Sales jobs hunters in the UK need to ensure that they are constantly improving their skills, if they want to achieve success in their chosen field.
Simon Bartley, chief executive of UK Skills, said that the application and relevance of skills to businesses and individuals has never been higher than what it currently is.
He added that the recession has brought skills to a much wider audience, covering not only sales recruitment hopefuls and businesses but everyone else in between.
"Also parents, teachers, government departments, local authorities everybody now realises that for the UK - as a country, as employers and as individuals development of skills is something that is core to their future," the expert stated.
Mr Bartley's comments came as the National Training Awards 2010 were announced, helping to recognise outstanding business and personal success through investment in training.
The competition is expected to receive around 1,000 applicants, with entries being accepted until April 23rd.
