Optimism returning to UK sales recruitment sector
Sales recruitment hopefuls have been boosted by the news that there is renewed optimism about the jobs market and economic recovery.
Phil Flaxton, chief executive officer of Work Wise UK, said that there are a lot of organisations who feel that although there is a long way to go, the country is currently turning a corner.
He added that the economic and recruitment recovery will be a "slow and fragile" process but things are likely to get better as 2010 progresses.
"We are very good in this country at innovation, there are a lot of things that we're very, very good at and certain specialist areas where we lead the world and I think therefore, there is a lot of reason to be optimistic about the recovery," he commented.
Mr Flaxton's words come after a survey by the Recruitment and Employment Confederation and KPMG, which revealed that the growth of permanent placements accelerated to the sharpest point since July 2007.
