Positions in sales jobs to be created in Somerset
Unemployed youngsters in Somerset could soon experience sales recruitment success after 74 new jobs were created in the area.
The Somerset Guardian reported that the positions have been created as part of the government's £1 billion Future Jobs Fund, with Somerset County Council and the Department for Work and Pensions working together to create the roles.
Young people who take applying for the positions will be given opportunities to develop their skills, giving them extra experience to put down on their CVs for future sales recruitment success.
Paul Hickson, group manager economic development at Somerset County Council, said: "With the introduction of Backing Young Britain, Young Peoples Guarantee and Flexible New Deal the Future Jobs Fund programme will assist in tackling the issues of youth unemployment in Somerset and provide new employment opportunities for those individuals hardest hit by the recession."
Last week, the Yorkshire Evening Post reported that more than 700 new positions, including sales jobs, will be created in Leeds over the next 18 months.
