Sales jobs plan revealed for Slough and Windsor
Unemployed young people in Slough and Windsor could soon find themselves in a sales job after plans to create hundreds of positions were revealed.
The Slough Observer reported that charities, councils and housing groups are just some of the groups promising to help thousands of 18 to 24 year olds in the region who are currently out of work.
Just weeks after the number of young people queuing up for Job Seeker's Allowance in the area had reached its highest point in more than a decade, a bid led by the royal borough has been circulated throughout east Berkshire towns.
Barry Deller, interim director of the Berkshire Economic Strategy Board, told the newspaper: "This project is about giving our young people and the long-term unemployed a helping hand into the work place.
"It is about providing real work and opportunities, but also developing their skills and self esteem to support long-term employment success.
Furthermore, government funding from the Future Jobs Scheme would provide 212 positions at local firms in Sussex for people hoping for sales recruitment success.
