Changing technology 'does not faze sales professionals'
People in sales jobs are embracing changing technology and see it as one of the least difficult aspects of sales.
The State of Sales 2009 survey by sales recruitment specialists Aaron Wallis showed that with the use of social networking and viral marketing becoming more popular, fewer than three per cent of respondents are intimidated by new technologies.
Of the 644 sales professionals questioned, changing technology was considered to be the least difficult aspect of their work, with less than one per cent of females and three per cent of males citing it as their major area of contention.
Getting clients to make decisions, cold calling and paperwork were given as the three most difficult aspects of being a sales recruitment professional.
Finding new prospects, chasing money, meeting clients and expectations were all viewed to be bigger stumbling blocks than technology evolution.
New smartphone products such as the iPhone or BlackBerry Storm are commonly used in the office environment, giving sales recruitment professionals constant access to their emails, internet, documents and calendar.
