Expert: Video content can help attract visitors to a website
Businesses can drive more traffic to their sites by using optimised video content, according to a media consultant.
Rachel Hawkes, account director at UK media communications firm Elemental, said that video content can help sales jobs boost their search engine optimisation (SEO) performance.
She added that media should feature throughout a website but should stem from a centralised source to facilitate easier back-to-back viewing.
"Any business looking to adopt video into their marketing portfolio should make it standard practice to show text descriptions next to the videos. Text and video will seed well into search engines, providing firms with really effective content to help drive SEO," she added.
Earlier this week US media company Brightcove launched a new online video platform aimed at sales jobs that want to make more of their site's media content.
The service offers access to advertising networks and also the chance to monetise content.
