YouTube offers new way to reach jobseekers

A sales recruitment company has begun using online streaming video content to find candidates, a source says.

By using YouTube.com to provide information on trends and general sales jobs advice, the company hopes to give users access to more information on available positions, marketwatch.com reports.

Yoh has begun implementing video content with the hope of increasing interaction between sales recruiters and those looking for jobs.

The company's chief executive officer and president Bill Yoh claims the medium contains a number of advantages which lend themselves to sales recruitment.

"High-level job seekers need clear, concise, easily-accessible information they can use to achieve their goals," he tells the news provider.

Content hosted on the site includes interviews with sales recruiter staff on general hiring trends, CV preparation and interview techniques.

Describing the technology as a "regularly updated portal" to those interested in sales recruitment, Mr Yoh claims the approach fulfils its function successfully, the website reveals.

Last month, the editor-in-chief of E-consultancy.com Chris Lake claimed video content is becoming an increasingly important component of websites intending to attract viewers.
