Commission pays off in sales recruitment
Sales recruitment offering good commission payments will benefit from the credit crunch, the Institute of Employment Studies (IES) has suggested.
Sales jobs are often accompanied by performance related pay and commission bonuses and could now be the perfect incentive to attract the best talent in sales recruitment.
According to Peter Reilly, director for HR research and consultancy at the Institute for Employment Studies, employees are more interested in cash bonuses than other benefits at the moment.
He said: "Those people who have got mortgages and are worried about the financial situation might prefer to take the cash.
"People will feel more out of pocket and will want to improve their incomes to spend a bit more money, and that will tend to push people back towards cash and away from benefits."
Meanwhile Jobsite.co.uk offers similar advice to employers, claiming that offering sales jobs employees "sweeteners" on top of their basic salary can help divert their interest away from the competition.
