Sales employees are 'cheetahs'

Its official - printing in the office really does bring out the animal in employees at work, one psychologist has claimed.

Using expert psychological analysis, Donna Dawson's Canon commissioned study of printer behaviour divides various work roles, such as sales jobs according to the animal they most resemble.

Sales jobs employees are cheetahs because they're "fast, impulsive animals and magnificent to look at", while those in sales director jobs are parrots because they "understand the importance of colour".

However, the research could also help those in print sales jobs to sell their products, with different departments placing emphasis on different things, reports managementtoday.com

Dr Dawson's research suggests that it is best not to mention colour when pitching to the finance department, who are compared to the rare Panda for their economical tendency to use black and white.

By contrast, print sales jobs employees pitching the latest ink cartridge to those in HR couldn't mention colour enough, because these birds of paradise tend to use colour to show off.
