Managing Director, Manufacturing. £65,000 Basic, £80,000 OTE (uncapped) plus £12K Car Allowance, based Northamptonshire. This is a new role for a small division of a major global organisation that due to a restructure has become an autonomous business unit within the group. This is not a conventional MD role as it requires you to have a strong manufacturing background together with general management skills and a terrific commercial 'eye'

Your main role is to oversee project delivery, stock control, planning, forecasting and general people management and leadership. However as the company work as a sub-contractor to the parent group's accounts you will also take over all of the strategic relationships with sister companies and the end user client contacts. Therefore you will also posses faultless networking abilities together with a natural flair for working in partnerships.

To apply you will have a logical CV that demonstrates continuous career development and your proven abilities to lead teams to greater success. Your experience will be gained from within a manufacturing or industrial environment as knowledge of project management, process improvements and stock control is vital to ensuring the financial success of this division.

You will be a proven people manager with a dynamic 'hands on' leadership and mentoring approach and will be impeccably presented and highly socially sophisticated. You will have the gravitas and credibility to quickly engage and gain the respect of the teams and will be creative in the way that you solve problems and improve efficiencies.

You will be non-political with a 'can do' attitude and a reputation for possessing a 'fair and straight' approach to leading teams. You will embrace change and changing methodologies and be a strong leader with an innate ability for getting the best out of both teams and individuals. You will be highly consultative in approach and be extremely socially sophisticated - an individual that is genuinely able to impress at very senior levels as the role includes corporate entertaining at C-levels of top Plc's. The role also requires an individual that is also highly organised, meticulous in approach and follows proven systems and processes.
